US-China Healthcare Information Exchange (USCHIE) is a English and Chinese bilingual free e-journal and web-based information-exchange and interactive platform launched exclusively for the educational purpose of providing its readers with in-depth discussion of important healthcare-related topics including not only patient care and education, healthcare administration and policy, healthcare provider training and certification, evidence-based medical practice and quality assurance, but also related industries of biomedical and pharmaceutical products, information technology, health insurance and health maintenance organizations (HMO) as well as malpractice and medical-legal services. USCHIE invites experts to contribute keynote articles on these topics on a quarterly basis and welcomes readers’ active participation in feedback, discussion and contribution. It also provides daily healthcare news updates and weekly medical exchange news. In addition, it has set aside a special learning section for residents and fellows and another special section for readers' contribution. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an independent extension of the Association of Minnesota Chinese Physicians (AMCP). It is dedicated to promoting and facilitating mutually beneficial bilateral interactions between US and Chinese healthcare establishments and related industries.
USCHIE’s editor-in-chief, Zongyu John Chen, MD PhD, is a practicing gastroenterologist at Minnesota Gastroenterology, one of the premier gastroenterology groups in the US. He received medical training in both US and China and is familiar with the healthcare systems of both countries. He is also one of the founders and a former president of AMCP. He continues to serve on AMCP board. It is the editor’s sincere hope that the information exchange through USCHIE will be fruitful and lead to positive social and economic results through our readers.
USCHIE has partnered with Med Qiao Company in establishing and maintaining the USCHIE website. It is also looking forward to collaborating with any individuals and organizations interested in promoting the USCHIE mission.
USCHIE encourages readers to make free registration at the website in order to provide feedback and actively participate in the information exchange. After registration, readers will also automatically receive new editions of USCHIE when they are published through their email addresses. Readers may also be notified through e-mail about various USCHIE-sponsored activities to promote interaction and exchange in both US and China.
