Covidien says tissue reinforcement product linked to three patient deaths

Bloomberg News (1/17, Connolly) reports that Boulder, CO-based Covidien Plc announced that "a tissue reinforcement product used in medical staplers has been connected with three patient deaths after use in thoracic surgery."
